He is the Founder & CEO of Association of Pakistani Physicians & Surgeons of the United Kingdom (APPS UK) which is the largest network of Pakistani healthcare professionals in the world, providing support and guidance to new and resident doctors in the UK andbeyond(www.appsuk.org). Dr Hafeez set up the Mobile Heath Unit project more than 5 years ago to provide primary healthcare facilities to patients in remote rural areas of Pakistan. He, along with his team, have been managing these facilities from the United Kingdom to look after a population of over 100,000 people.
He is a man with a lot of innovative and inspiring ideas. He has run campaigns in the past to prevent medicine wastage in the community. His strategies saved the National Health Service (NHS) a staggering £75,000 in just one year.

He was the winner of NHS England’s Excellence in Healthcare Award 2019 selected from over 400 entries in the North West.[1]
During the COVID-19 pandemic he launched a Corona Urdu Helpline in the UK and set up a virtual work experience programme for A-Level students who wished to pursue a career in Medicine. This programme featured as a case study in Health Education England (HEE) annual Discovery Report 2021.[2]
In 2021 HM The Queen, conferred one of the Highest Civilian Awards of the United Kingdom – MBE upon Dr Hafeez for his services to the National Health Service.[3]
